Position Overview The Clerk 2 Rehabilitation Services provides clerical support and reception services for the Rehabilitation Program. The incumbent must be a versatile, mature individual who demonstrates knowledge and skills in general office procedures while communicating in a pleasant and courteous manner when dealing with people. The incumbent will exercise the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud. Experience One (1) year previous experience working in an office environment. Previous experience working in a rehabilitation environment. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade twelve (12) education or equivalent. Completion of an Administrative/Office training program. Other suitable combinations of education and experience may be considered. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Outlook/email. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated effective decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with management and staff within the region as well as appropriate outside vendors and agencies. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required. Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions. Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums. Good work and attendance record. Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00. Physical Requirements Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job. No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions. May work occasionally evenings and weekends as necessary. Will be required to travel to other regional facilities as the position duties may require. Requirements

Candidates must have a Grade 12 education or equivalent and completion of an administrative training program. One year of previous office experience, preferably in a rehabilitation environment, is required.
