Invites applications for the position of: Law Clerk/Legal Assistant Reporting to the Lawyer and to the Director of Programs and Staff, the Law Clerk/Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to the lawyer at the Community Connection Centre. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Provide administrative support to the lawyer. · Prepare DivorceMate calculations and Certificates of Financial Disclosure. · Maintain weekly task lists for ongoing files and ensure deadlines are monitored. · Draft documents, correspondence, and other communication to clients, opposing counsel, and other parties, as needed. · Compile relevant documents and information from clients, including financial documents. · Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information. WORK SCHEDULE: · Part-time Contract Position until March 31, 2027 – 10 hours per week · In-office SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: · Must be a licensed commissioner in Ontario. · Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, CaseCentre, and DivorceMate applications. · Prior experience working in a family law setting is an asset, with applicants having a working knowledge of Ontario family law procedures, rules, and forms. · Applicants should have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Requirements
