This opportunity is hybrid and based in Edmonton, AB, supporting the execution of projects with a primary focus on the Shell Scotford Program. #LI-Hybrid The Role The Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer / Technologist will coordinate the execution of instrumentation and controls engineering activities across a variety of projects within Wood’s Projects Canada business, with a primary focus on the Shell Scotford Program. Supporting both greenfield and brownfield projects, this role will contribute throughout the project lifecycle, including Studies, Design Basis Memoranda (DBM), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Design, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, and Commissioning. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, high-quality engineering solutions. The Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer will coordinate engineering activities across various projects, with a primary focus on the Shell Scotford Program. This role involves providing technical leadership, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidates must possess a diploma in Instrumentation Technology or a bachelor's degree in Engineering, along with at least eight years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of industry codes such as API, ASME, CSA, and ISA is required, as is experience leading instrumentation and controls activities.
