WQS Group is searching for someone to join our team in the Dispatch role! Working in Dispatch, you will play an important role in coordinating the scheduling and deployment of technicians to client projects. You will work closely with Operations, Project Leaders, technicians, and clients to help ensure the right people are scheduled for the right projects and are in the right place at the right time. You will be responsible for managing technician schedules, supporting mobilization and demobilization, monitoring availability and utilization, coordinating onboarding requirements, and responding to changing project needs. What You Will Do Coordinate the daily scheduling and dispatch of technicians based on qualifications, certifications, availability, and project requirements. Work closely with Operations and Project Leaders to assess technician availability, prioritize resources, and ensure projects are adequately staffed. Maintain and monitor technician schedules, availability, forecasting, and utilization while proactively adjusting assignments as project needs change. Support technician mobilization and demobilization by communicating schedules, site details, reporting requirements, orientations, and other relevant information. Act as a central point of contact for dispatch-related inquiries from technicians, clients, and internal teams, providing timely and professional communication. Respond to scheduling challenges, delays, and urgent client requests while identifying solutions and escalating issues to management when required. Support technician onboarding, recruitment, and staffing activities, including maintaining records of qualified technicians available for deployment. Monitor technician workloads and scheduling considerations to support employee wellbeing, operational requirements, and compliance with applicable employment standards. Maintain accurate dispatch records, schedules, and technician availability while tracking key dispatch information and utilization metrics. Provide dispatch and operational support outside of regular business hours when required, including evenings and weekends. What You Will Bring 3–5 years of experience in dispatch, scheduling, coordination, or a related role, preferably within industrial or technical services. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with technicians, clients, and internal teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly when managing changing schedules and operational priorities. Ability to adapt quickly and remain organized under pressure. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and scheduling or dispatch software. Ability to work collaboratively across departments, particularly with Operations. Familiarity with NDT, Rope Access, technician qualifications, and industrial service environments is considered a strong asset. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business administration, operations, or a related field is considered an asset.
