Job summary
WQS Non-Destructive Testing (WQS NDT) is currently recruiting experienced, proficient, PAUT Technicians for Fall 2026 Turnaround and Call-out scopes. These opportunities are available in both Central Alberta and Northern Alberta. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to join their local WQS NDT Call-Out team afterwards. Anticipated Schedule: 6 days on, 1 day off, 12 hour shifts Anticipated Duration: August 27 - October 1, 2026 Site Location: Fort McMurray or Edmonton, AB Rate: Applicable QCCC Rates + Additional Turnaround Uplift Additional Information: Turnaround employees will be entered in a draw for an opportunity to win a new car! Please note: No purchase necessary, subject to full rules and eligibility. What You Will Bring PAUT Certified – level 2 or level 3 preferred. (BINDT,CSWIP, CGSB) Proven experience with Non-Destructive Testing procedures and minimum three (3) years Phased Array experience. Additional Surface inspection certifications an asset (PT, MT,XRF) Solid technical skills and proven track record as a proficient NDT technician. Must be Fit for Duty at all times and be able to comply with the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace which includes alcohol and drug testing. Valid driver's license with a 3-year driver abstract, First Aid & Confined Space Certification is an asset. Strong work ethic and positive attitude is a must. Requirements
Candidates must be PAUT certified (Level 2 or 3 preferred) with at least three years of Phased Array experience. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass drug and alcohol testing are mandatory.
