About the Opportunity We're looking for one reliable and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support the Founder & Executive Director. This role is ideal for a university or college student looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit leadership and administration. You'll work closely with the Executive Director, helping manage day-to-day communications, meetings, and follow-ups so that important tasks and decisions stay on track and move forward smoothly. Executive Assistant to the Founder & Executive Director Time commitment: Approx. 4–5 hours per week Responsibilities Include Attending select meetings and taking notes, including action items and points for follow-up Drafting and sending emails on behalf of the Executive Director, as directed Assisting with scheduling and booking appointments Conveying updates, decisions, or instructions from the Executive Director to other departments/teams when she is unavailable Helping track outstanding tasks and following up with relevant people Maintaining confidentiality on all internal and organizational matters Supporting general administrative needs as they arise We're Looking For Someone Who Has basic organizational or administrative experience (university/college-level experience is sufficient- we're happy to train the right person) Is highly reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Can maintain strict confidentiality regarding internal discussions and decisions Has strong written communication skills for professional email correspondence Is comfortable taking initiative and following up independently Is passionate about community engagement and nonprofit work What You'll Gain Direct mentorship from the Founder & Executive Director Leadership and administrative experience within a growing nonprofit Professional reference Certificate of completion Volunteer hours Networking opportunities Free admission to X Helping Hands events (with meals, travel, accommodation, and event activities covered where applicable) Recognition on our social media Honorarium upon successful completion Equity and Inclusion X Helping Hands is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.
