Job summary
Who We Are Little X, by X Movement, brings connection-based social-emotional programming into daycare centers across the GTA — for infants, toddlers, preschool, and kindergarten-aged children. Our Inspirers focus on nurturing connection, coping skills, and early emotional development through gentle, play-based interaction, rather than high-energy group fitness. Who You Are You have a natural warmth with very young children — you know how to get down on the floor with a toddler, read an infant's cues, or help a preschooler name a big feeling. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room; you need patience, presence, and genuine delight in the earliest years of childhood. This role is built around short, flexible shifts — ideal if you want meaningful part-time work without a full-day commitment. Required Skills & Experience ✅ Experience with infants, toddlers, preschool, and/or kindergarten-aged children (ECE, nanny, daycare, or family caregiving experience all count) ✅ Warm, patient, nurturing presence — specifically comfortable with very young children ✅ Comfortable leading small-group, play-based social-emotional activities ✅ Driver's license & reliable transportation (carshare program available) ✅ Clear, calm communication with daycare staff and families ✅ Reliability — daycares run on tight staff-to-child ratios, so punctuality is essential ✅ Availability for short shifts, mornings and afternoons only — no full-day commitment required ✅ Vulnerable Sector Check ✅ Genuine comfort with and interest in early childhood development Assets ✨ ECE diploma/certification, or coursework in progress ✨ Experience with neurodiverse children ✨ Bilingual (French) ✨ Background in infant/toddler care, family childcare, or early intervention ✨ Familiarity with early social-emotional learning or attachment-based practices Job Details 📌 Part-time contract — short shifts, morning block or afternoon block only (exact times vary by site; no full days required) 📌 Pay: Inspirer structure — starts at $20/hr (Trainee), with premium first-hour rates as you progress up to $30/hr, plus travel allowance 📌 In-person at Little X daycare partner sites across the GTA — locations may vary 📌 Vulnerable Sector Check required 📌 Full training provided — no ECE certification required to start, though an asset If you light up around little ones, we want you on our Little X team. Apply today. 🧸👶 X Movement is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team, and we welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or any other protected ground. Accommodations are available upon request at any stage of the recruitment process.
