Job summary

Design and Implementation of Automation Systems with Exposure to Instrumentation: Develop, configure, and program automation systems using CODESYS for industrial applications, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and SCADA systems. Design electrical or automation layouts for industrial equipment or processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Perform control system design, including software, hardware, and integration of automation solutions. Project Management/Coordination & Support Sales Team: Manage/Coordinate projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, IT) for the successful implementation of automation solutions. Use company ERP system to manage/coordinate the project. Provide regular progress reports, maintain project documentation, and ensure all work complies with project requirements. Prepare technical agreement, quotation & technical bidding document per Request For Proposal/Purchase Ordering Specification/Tendering (RFP/POS) to support sales team. Service and Troubleshooting: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve automation system issues in existing systems, often through CODESYS or similar development platforms with PLC modules ie WAGO/Siemens. Provide technical support and service to clients, including remote support or on-site troubleshooting for equipment breakdowns or malfunctions. Perform system upgrades, routine maintenance, and provide after-sales service to ensure system efficiency and minimize downtime. Testing and Commissioning: Perform system testing, debugging, and commissioning of control systems. Ensure all automation systems are tested under real-time conditions to ensure their functionality. Implement modifications and optimizations to existing systems based on performance evaluations. Documentation and Compliance: Develop detailed technical documentation, including system designs, BOM, user manuals, and maintenance guides. Ensure all solutions comply with safety and regulatory requirements. Key Skills: Highly self motivated; CODESYS programming: Experience in developing control logic, writing scripts, and programming for industrial automation systems using the CODESYS platform. PLC and HMI programming: Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and human-machine interfaces (HMI) for automation systems ie Siemens/WAGO PLC. Electrical design: Understanding of electrical schematics and wiring for automation projects. Familiar with E-Plan and Autocad to develop the drawings. SCADA systems: Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for monitoring and controlling industrial processes. Familiar with integrating various sensors, actuators ie pressure level sensor, radar level sensor, hydraulic, electric and pneumatic actuators and etc… is preferred. Problem-solving skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot issues with automation hardware and software. Project management/coordination skill: Capable of managing automation projects, including planning, execution, and resource coordination as well as cross discipline teams sales, procurement, workshop and service/commissioning. Industry knowledge: Familiarity with industrial standards, protocols (such as OPC UA, Modbus, Canbus, Profibus), and safety standards. Language: Prefer to speak/read fluent Mandarin is plus. Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics, with a focus on industrial automation and instrumentation. Experience: Co-op experience working in industrial automation, ideally with hands-on expertise in CODESYS and programming automation control systems is preferable.
