Job summary
Program Aide (Casual) Under the direction of the Program Manager/ Program Coordinator, plans or participates in the planning of appropriate activities and providing high quality services to clients of the Day Program. Responsibilities: Implements and ensures smooth operation of the activities in a safe, hygienic and supportive environment Provides high quality personal care to assist clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene Provides meal services or assists in meal preparation and assists the clients in eating in accordance with the client's wish and ability Assists the client in participating in social activities and encourages social interaction Assists the team to prepare program materials Responds promptly to medical emergencies and takes appropriate action Assists the clients in the proper use and care of adaptive devices Delivers, portions and serves meals according to diet order and client preference Complies with health and safety policies to minimize the risk to clients, coworkers and self Qualifications: Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent Completion of a C.P.R.
