Job summary
Description Post-Secondary Preparation Coordinator Under the authority of the YKDFN Government Chiefs and Council and under the direct supervision of the Manager, Post-Secondary Programs, the Post-Secondary Preparation Coordinator is directly responsible for assisting the Manager, Post-Secondary Programs in all aspects of the implementation and delivery of post-secondary programs under Dechı̨ta Nàowo. The Post-Secondary Preparation Coordinator requires understanding of requirements needed for the curriculum development of post-secondary courses, lesson planning, knowledge of the NWT curriculum, collaboration with a variety of partners, understanding of the Dene traditions, computer hardware and software applications, work with limited supervision, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with the focus on confidentiality. This office-based position is located in N’dilo. Typically, The Above Qualifications Would Be Attained By Bachelor’s degree in education with a focus on post-secondary education coupled with at least five years relevant experience, preferably within a northern First Nations community; or An equivalent combination of education and training with ten years direct work-related experience.
