Job summary

Description Description Under the authority of Yellowknives Dene First Nation Government Chief and Council, and under the direct supervision of the Director, Health and Wellness, the Recreation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the effective and efficient delivery of recreation program services for the YKDFN communities. The position will also work collaboratively with other YKDFN departments and other groups to promote health and wellness. The Recreation Coordinator requires experience in the recreation field, experience with First Nations, team leadership, work with limited supervision, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with the focus on confidentiality. This position is located in N'dilo with some days in Dettah. Typically, The Above Qualifications Would Be Attained By Grade 12 Certificate; Certificate or diploma in Recreation Leadership, Administration or Management Studies; First Aid/CPR; Class 4 drivers license. Combination of 2 years of education and 4 years of related work experience. A detailed Job Description for this position is available upon request.
