Our client is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their team in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Job Summary: The Engineering Manager, will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for leading the Engineering organization which will entail developing innovative solutions, continuous improvement and project management for the electrical test equipment market with a focus on automation and customer driven customization. This job pays $160-190K CAD Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and build a world-class, technically diverse, high-performing team by measuring and monitoring results. Actively participate in the performance management process inclusive of, KPIs, goals and objectives and individualized development plans. Implement and maintain the project management stage gate process to ensure timely completion of all customer and technology roadmap driven projects. Provide agile leadership to adjust and manage schedules. Serve as a key member of the business unit’s senior leadership team. Deliver technical support [remotely or onsite] to customers of new and existing products. Establish and direct the implementation of engineering and documentation control standards and procedures. Work with sales and marketing on the creation and maintenance of a market driven technology and product roadmap. Partners with marketing regarding sales presentations, catalogs, and general advertising literature. Define and implement metrics to monitor and enhance the performance of the engineering organization and individuals there within. Able to travel 10-15%, potentially more as acquisitions continue. Supervision during assembly and first product validation. Organization and creation of the bill of materials. Required Skills/Abilities: Minimum 7 years’ experience in an electrical test environment with strong knowledge of automated test equipment solutions. Minimum 5 years’ management experience required, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Equipment automation knowledge with an understanding of Industry 4.0 preferred. Stage Gate product development process experience preferred. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechatronic or electronic), Physics, or related field. Requirements
Requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical test environments and 5 years of management experience, preferably in manufacturing. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechatronic or Electronic), Physics, or a related field is required.
