As the People and Culture Coordinator, you will play a key role in attracting talent, supporting employees and volunteers, and helping create a workplace where people feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to succeed. Through recruitment, onboarding, systems administration, and employee experience initiatives, you'll help strengthen the people who strengthen our communities. QUICK FACTS * Compensation: $23.89 per hour * Paid vacation, wellness, and family responsibility days * Extended health and dental benefits * Membership to Y facilities for self and family * Annual Y pension of 5% (after 2 years) * Reporting to: Director, People and Culture * Location: Head Office – 375 Hartman Rd, Kelowna, BC * Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday This role is ideal for a highly organized and service-oriented professional who enjoys building relationships, creating positive experiences, and supporting people through every stage of their YSIBC journey. WHAT YOU WILL DO In this role, you will help deliver exceptional employee and volunteer experiences by supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, employee services, HR systems, and organizational initiatives. * Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities that attract, engage, and support top talent across the Association. * Partner with hiring managers to support consistent, positive, and effective hiring and onboarding experiences. * Build and maintain talent pipelines through candidate sourcing, recruitment events, and community engagement initiatives. * Support employee and volunteer experiences through recognition programs, events, and engagement initiatives. * Provide guidance and support to Volunteer Coordinators while contributing to volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts. * Maintain accurate employee and volunteer records, benefits administration, and People and Culture documentation. * Serve as a resource for UKG and other People and Culture systems, supporting users and maintaining data integrity. * Prepare reports, analyze trends, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance employee and volunteer experiences. * Support organizational projects and People and Culture initiatives that strengthen workplace culture and operational excellence. WHAT YOU BRING * Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, Office Administration, or a related field. * Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee services, administration, or People and Culture operations. * Experience coordinating multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. * Knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee records administration, and People and Culture practices. * Experience using HRIS, applicant tracking systems, recruitment sourcing tools, or employee management systems. * Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. * Experience with UKG, volunteer programs, employee engagement initiatives, or orientation facilitation is considered an asset.
