Position: Special Events and Fundraising Volunteer Location: Centre Branch YMCA As part of being a volunteer: Receive a complimentary YMCA personal membership to our Health & Fitness facilities Be part of a caring and supportive network of people to help each other succeed Contribute to real, meaningful impact in the lives of children and youth Core Responsibilities Committee Membership: Build momentum and drive fundraising for YMCA SWO events and other signature community fundraising campaigns Donor Stewardship: Connect with our donors over the phone to thank them for their generosity Event day Support: Help execute our events by volunteering at registration, setting up a silent auction, or several other event-related roles Be committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and building a sense of belonging Embrace and exemplify the Y’s core values Qualifications: Minimum age: we consider volunteers as young as the summer they are entering grade 9 Self-starter with excellent communication skills Dedicated, organized, and perseverance Enthusiastic with an understanding of the importance of growing our revenue to support our mission and are willing to help us achieve our ambitious goals Legally entitled to work in Canada Minimum commitment of 4 months, 2 hours/week

Drive fundraising efforts for YMCA events and signature community campaigns. Support event execution through registration, silent auction setup, and donor stewardship via phone outreach.

Candidates must be at least entering grade 9, legally entitled to work in Canada, and able to commit 2 hours per week for 4 months. A satisfactory Criminal Record check and potentially a Vulnerable Sector Search are required.
