Title: Front-End Developer/UI Developer/React Full Stack Developer Location: Vancouver, BC - Locals Only Experience: 12+ years Job Description We are seeking an experienced React.js / Next.js Developer with strong expertise in GraphQL development and implementation to join our long-term strategic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable front-end applications using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript, along with hands-on experience designing and implementing GraphQL APIs (not just consuming them). Candidates with prior experience in the eCommerce domain, particularly with commercetools and Frontastic, will be highly preferred. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Front-End Development. Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using React.js and Next.js. Proven experience in GraphQL development, schema design, implementation, and optimization. Experience leading long-term strategic engineering teams. Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), DOM manipulation, and JavaScript object model. Deep understanding of React lifecycle, hooks, state management, and Next.js architecture. Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL API integration. Hands-on experience with MongoDB. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps (VSTS). Experience with OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT authentication, and API security best practices. Experience with Webpack, Babel, Yarn, npm, and modern front-end tooling. Experience with Git and version control systems. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Experience working in SaaS environments. Preferred Qualifications eCommerce platform experience. Experience with commercetools. Experience with Frontastic. Knowledge of Immutable.js. Experience with Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Isomorphic React. Performance optimization and benchmarking expertise. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable React.js and Next.js applications. Design and implement GraphQL schemas, resolvers, and APIs. Lead front-end architecture discussions and technical decision-making. Build reusable UI components and optimize application performance. Integrate secure authentication and authorization mechanisms. Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, and backend teams. Develop CI/CD-enabled deployment pipelines. Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices. Mentor developers and provide technical leadership. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
