We are looking for an experienced Senior z/OS Automation Engineer with strong expertise in IBM Z mainframe operations, automation, and system management. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM NetView for z/OS, System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS), REXX, JCL, TSO and ISPF, along with experience supporting or delivering z/OS automation migration projects. The role will involve implementing, maintaining, and enhancing automated mainframe environments while providing operational support, technical consultancy, and problem resolution. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain IBM Z / z/OS environments in an operational and automation capacity. Design, implement, and maintain automation using NetView for z/OS and System Automation for z/OS. Develop and maintain REXX automation scripts and JCL. Work with the System Automation Policy Database (PDB). Support z/OS automation migration projects, including planning, implementation, testing, and migration activities. Use TSO and ISPF for system administration, troubleshooting, configuration, and operational activities. Support z/OS system startup and shutdown procedures. Investigate and resolve automation and operational issues. Work with application and infrastructure teams to identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements. Contribute to system configuration, documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards. Provide technical consultancy and support to other mainframe teams. Required Skills and Experience 7+ years of experience working in a mainframe operations, support, service, consultancy, or systems environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on experience with TSO and ISPF. Strong JCL skills. Ability to develop and maintain REXX scripts. Working knowledge of the System Automation Policy Database (PDB). Experience with z/OS automation migration projects. Hands-on experience with: IBM NetView for z/OS IBM System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS) Preferred Skills Knowledge of additional IBM Z / z/OS software and technologies. Experience with z/OS system operations, configuration, startup, and shutdown. Knowledge of SMP/E. Understanding of competing mainframe automation products. Experience implementing or supporting fully automated IBM Z system configurations. Experience working in large-scale enterprise mainframe environments.

Requires 7 or more years of mainframe operations, support, consultancy, or systems experience, with hands-on TSO and ISPF, strong JCL, REXX scripting, and working knowledge of the System Automation Policy Database. Candidates must have experience with IBM NetView for z/OS, System Automation for z/OS, and z/OS automation migration projects; SMP/E and large-scale enterprise mainframe experience are preferred.
