Our founder, Leland Young, is a local Vancouverite born and raised, who pioneered the alkaline water landscape with yYoung Water Limited dba Alkiss Water. As a leading lifestyle water brand in the holistic health industry since 2009, we want to share our elixir of health and wellbeing with YOU! Our Hidden Secret…. We are a growing brand that is part of a broader holistic health culture. Alkiss is the amalgamation of the words= “all”, “alkaline” and “kiss” and plays an integral part of the holistic lifestyle puzzle. Our water is uniquely Canadian, sourced from the pure, crisp, natural, coastal mountain spring water of Harrison Mills. Harrison Mills is located at the foot of Canada’s Echo Mountain, in the heart of our coastal mountain range’s rich historical rainforest. Our springs were engendered from a catastrophic mud and rock slide that occurred 3100 years ago on the majestic Echo Mountain. This cataclysmic event created the perfect serendipitous filtration depth of 26.5 feet, encompassing a geological treasure trove of leaves, wooden twigs and branches, which has since accumulated. The water flows through 29.5 feet of granular granite which ranges from pea sized to golf ball dimensions. This granite acts as a natural filter. Beneath this layer of filtration, water flows inside this band in between the granite, and ancient clay (water does not seep through the clay) as a final natural filtration point. The water is pushed up to the surface and then disperses into the bubbling mountain springs! One of these springs at Harrison Mills pours forth our elixir of wellbeing, Alkiss!
