About The Role: The Production Foreman coordinates labor assignments and supervises employee development while ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. Enforces appropriate safety procedures. Collaborates with Quality, Maintenance and other Departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive work environment and meet production goals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy. Performs quality checks on sites and equipment to ensure customer and quality standards are met. Develops work schedules for workers to achieve production goals. Delegates responsibilities to team members. Provides training, cross-training, performs evaluations, reviews, and initiates disciplinary actions. Monitors and supervises cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory (Warehouse or Inventory). Generates and reviews daily operation reports to ensure shift continuity and determine appropriate course of actions for any issues. Identifies, communicates, and escalates maintenance items. Collaborates with the Quality Department to develop and oversee quality standards on site. Develops and implements action plans to improve and attain plant objectives to enhance efficiencies. Documents injuries, makes recommendations and follows up with corrective actions to prioritize safety. Hires, coaches, develops, monitors, and evaluates performance of staff. Reviews and recommends personnel actions for approval. Performs other duties as they might be assigned. Regular, full-time predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Associate degree with an emphasis on management / supervision 3+ year supervisory experience in a manufacturing / warehouse environment KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES Working knowledge of shop floor interfaces, such as MES and SAP or other based platforms Basic proficiency in Microsoft office package, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Strong decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills Strong communication and leadership Time management skills Ability to influence productive working relations and team building Compensation: $30.95-$38.13/hour + production incentive Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits. Requirements
Candidates must have an associate degree with an emphasis on management or supervision. A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is required.
