Job Title: HTML Developer (Email / Digital Messaging) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite) Employment Type: Contract Pay Rate: $40–$60/hour About the Role We are seeking an experienced HTML Developer to support digital messaging and email communications for a leading banking client. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and FreeMarker, with experience developing responsive, dynamic email templates across multiple platforms. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain HTML email templates and digital messaging communications. Build responsive email layouts using HTML, CSS, and FreeMarker. Implement dynamic content and personalization using FreeMarker templates. Ensure email compatibility across various devices, browsers, and email clients. Troubleshoot rendering issues and optimize email performance. Collaborate with marketing, design, and technical teams to deliver digital campaigns. Required Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and FreeMarker (all three mandatory). Experience developing responsive HTML emails and digital messaging templates. Understanding of email rendering limitations and cross-platform compatibility. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have Previous experience in banking or financial services. Familiarity with email marketing platforms and campaign management tools. Experience with dynamic content, personalization, and email automation.
