Based at our office in Mississauga, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be providing professional and welcoming candidate experience, while finding creative ways to source candidates from a variety of areas. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will assist the Onboarding and Training teams with providing a smooth onboarding process to all employees, and will be reporting directly to the Associate Director, Talent Acquisition and Resourcing Planning. What you will do: Recruitment Sourcing and Selection (60%) Working closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company's hiring needs for each position and meeting competitive hiring goals and expectations. Managing the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles helping management find, hire, and retain quality talent. Screening resumes and prospects, qualify, interview, and manage candidates throughout the interview process from prepping before interviews to assisting with final offer negotiation. Maintaining a database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and fired employees, and other candidate relationships. Community Outreach (20%) Maintaining contact with numerous community partners to create pipeline of candidates. Organizing and attending job fairs and community outreach events for branding and sourcing purposes. Creating and distributing marketing materials throughout local community for increased visibility. Conducting monthly outreach initiatives. E-Recruiting and Social Media Content Creation (10%) Developing and releasing job postings on platforms, such as social media and job boards. Monitoring social media platforms and keeping up to date with market trends. New Employee Onboarding Assistance (5%) Occasionally assist Training and Human Resources teams with new hire documents and training schedules. Relay pertinent information regarding hires to the appropriate teams in a timely manner. Occasionally send updates to clients and managers regarding hires and hiring trends. Analytics and Reporting (5%) Following up on interview process status and update records in an internal database. Collecting weekly and monthly KPIs and conducting analysis. Preferred Experience: 1 year of progressive staffing/sales/recruitment experience preferred. 1 – 2 years of service-based customer service experience strongly preferred. Frontline hiring for security or customer service an asset. ATS experience an asset. Managing an applicant tracking system (ATS) and experience with the Transport Canada Clearance process an asset. Advanced knowledge and experience in MS Office especially MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated excellent communication skills – both oral & written. Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills are essential. Demonstrated ability to handle difficult callers, stressful situations, and multiple tasks in a professional and constructive manner. Requirements

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience in staffing, recruitment, or service-based customer service. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems are preferred, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
