Job Title: DataStage Developer Location: Toronto, ON (3x onsite a week) Employment Type: Contract Pay Rate: CAD$40/HR INC Summary We are looking for an experienced DataStage Developer with strong expertise in IBM DataStage, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and Unix. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing, developing, and supporting data integration and data warehousing solutions while ensuring optimal performance and data quality. Roles & Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL solutions using IBM DataStage. Work on Data Warehouse projects involving data extraction, transformation, and loading from various source systems. Provide production support, troubleshoot ETL failures, and perform root cause analysis. Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects. Build and maintain Unix shell scripts for automation and operational support. Develop Python-based solutions for data processing, validation, and automation requirements. Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to understand data integration requirements. Ensure data quality, performance tuning, and adherence to development standards and best practices. Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation activities. Qualifications & Skills Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL methodologies. Hands-on experience in IBM DataStage development and support projects. Experience in designing and building DataStage solutions and ETL workflows. Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL. Hands-on experience with Python scripting and automation. Good experience in Unix/Linux scripting. Experience working with Hive and/or relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or PostgreSQL. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
