Plant Controller Burlington $125,000–$145,000 + 10% Bonus Our client is a well established manufacturing organization seeking a Plant Controller to oversee the financial operations of its manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an up-and-coming finance leader who has strong manufacturing accounting experience and approximately 2 years of supervisory or management experience. We are looking for someone ready to take the next step in their career and become a key financial partner to the Plant Leadership team. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end and year-end close and financial reporting under Canadian GAAP. Analyze P&L results, variances and key manufacturing KPIs and provide recommendations to Plant Leadership. Oversee accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, costing, inventory and fixed assets. Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. Monitor cash flow and capital expenditures. Coordinate external audits and tax filings with external advisors. Maintain strong financial controls and compliance. Lead, coach and develop a small accounting team. Partner with Plant Leadership to improve profitability, cost control and operational performance. Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. 3–5 years of accounting/finance experience within manufacturing. Approximately 2 years of supervisory or management experience. Strong financial reporting, analytical and budgeting skills. Excellent Excel/spreadsheet skills. Strong communication and business partnering skills. Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others. CMA/CGA or equivalent professional accounting studies completed or in progress is an asset. ISO/QS exposure is an asset.
