Title: Chatbot Content Developer – Documentation Modernization & AI Enablement Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Onsite Experience: 5+ Years Role Overview We are looking for a Chatbot Content Developer with strong expertise in Python/Java scripting, documentation modernization, Confluence, Markdown, Git, and AI-assisted development tools. The role will focus on transforming and optimizing technical documentation used as chatbot and AI knowledge sources, while building automation to improve content migration, quality, and maintainability. Key Responsibilities Review, analyze, and enhance technical documentation used as chatbot/AI knowledge sources. Convert and transform Confluence content into Markdown and documentation-as-code formats. Develop and maintain Python or Java automation scripts for documentation conversion, migration, and content processing. Use GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to improve documentation quality, consistency, and productivity. Manage documentation within Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar source control repositories. Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and technical teams to improve chatbot knowledge sources and documentation workflows. Troubleshoot and resolve documentation issues involving formatting, broken links, images, metadata, page structure, and content organization. Create and maintain documentation standards, templates, guidelines, and best practices. Support documentation migration and modernization initiatives across enterprise platforms. Contribute to CI/CD and automated documentation workflows where applicable. Required Skills 5+ years of experience in scripting, automation, or software development. Strong Python development experience; Java is also acceptable. Hands-on experience with Markdown and documentation-as-code practices. Strong experience with Confluence, including content organization, page structures, administration, and migrations. Experience with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar SCM platforms. Experience developing automation scripts and content transformation/migration utilities. Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools. Strong understanding of technical/developer documentation and knowledge management. Strong written communication, editing, and documentation skills. Nice to Have Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices. Exposure to Backstage, TechDocs, or other developer documentation portals. Experience supporting chatbot, GenAI, RAG, or AI knowledge-base content. Experience with documentation migration, content parsing, metadata management, or automated quality checks. Familiarity with enterprise software development and Agile environments.
