Role: IAM Engineer with Python Developer Experience Location: Montreal, QC Work Model: Onsite Experience: 5+ Years Role Overview We are looking for an IAM Engineer with strong Python development experience to support Identity & Access Management, Directory Services, automation, migration, and production engineering activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, Linux/RHEL, LDAP/LDAPS, IAM platforms, scripting, and automation, with PingDS/ForgeRock DS experience being highly preferred. Key Responsibilities & Requirements • Develop and maintain Python-based automation, utilities, APIs, integrations, and data-processing solutions. • Support IAM and Directory Services platforms, preferably PingDS / ForgeRock Directory Services, including configuration, migration, upgrades, deployment, and production support. • Develop and maintain Python and Bash/Shell scripts for automation, migration, deployment, reconciliation, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. • Work with PingDS plugins, extensions, and custom integrations; knowledge of existing Java-based PingDS components is a plus. • Perform administration and troubleshooting in Linux/RHEL environments, including processes, services, permissions, networking, filesystem, logs, and performance. • Work with LDAP/LDAPS, directory services, replication, schemas, certificates/TLS, REST APIs, JSON, and IAM security concepts. • Follow modern software engineering practices including Git, CI/CD, Python package management, unit testing, code reviews, and secure coding. • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement reliable automation and operational improvements. • Use AI/GenAI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent for coding, scripting, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting, while validating outputs and following secure-use practices. • C/C++ experience is a plus. PingDS or ForgeRock Directory Services experience is highly preferred; experience with plugins, Java, C/C++, and AI-assisted development tools is an advantage.
