Inside Sales Representative Action Force Transport is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our Sales team. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone interested in building a career in transportation, logistics, and B2B sales. The Inside Sales Representative will support new business development by managing inbound and outbound sales opportunities, qualifying prospects, coordinating pricing requests, and assisting with customer onboarding. The successful candidate will be professional, organized, confident communicating with businesses, and motivated by building customer relationships and contributing to company growth. Key Responsibilities Inside Sales & Business Development Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets. Conduct outbound prospecting through telephone, email, and other professional outreach. Research manufacturers, producers, distributors, wholesalers, and other businesses with transportation requirements. Develop relationships with prospective customers and understand their transportation needs. Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and inactive leads. Support the development of the company's new-business sales pipeline. Lead & Pipeline Management Respond to inbound inquiries from the company website, telephone, email, referrals, and other sources. Manage assigned prospects within the sales pipeline. Maintain accurate prospect information, activity notes, and follow-up dates. Track opportunities through the sales process and provide management with visibility into pipeline activity. Prospect Qualification & Pricing Coordination Conduct initial discovery conversations with prospective customers. Gather information regarding shipping lanes, volumes, commodities, frequency, and service requirements. Identify qualified opportunities and escalate significant prospects to Sales leadership. Coordinate rate requests with the Transportation Pricing & Carrier Relations team. Follow up on outstanding quotations and communicate customer feedback to Sales and Pricing. Customer Onboarding & Support Coordinate credit applications and required customer documentation. Submit completed information to Accounts Receivable for credit approval and account setup. Follow up internally and with customers throughout the onboarding process. Coordinate with Operations and other departments to ensure new customers are prepared to begin shipping. Maintain communication with newly onboarded customers and follow up after initial shipments. Who We Are Looking For Confident and professional communicator. Comfortable with outbound prospecting and customer follow-up. Organized and able to manage multiple prospects and priorities. Relationship-focused and customer-oriented. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven. Detail-oriented and dependable. Able to work independently while collaborating with Sales, Pricing, Operations, Accounts Receivable, and Customer Service. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Transportation & Logistics, or a related field is preferred. Approximately 1 year of experience in sales, business development, customer service, transportation, logistics, or a related field is considered an asset but is not required. Previous transportation or logistics experience is considered an asset. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience using CRM or sales pipeline software is considered an asset.
