Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk (Temporary Contract) Location: Downtown Toronto (TTC accessible) Job Type: Part-Time, temporary Payrate: $22-23/hr plus 4% vacation pay, paid weekly Duration: Approximately 1 month+ (with potential for extension) Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week, 2 days per week (flexible weekday schedule) Our client, a well-established community-focused organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk to provide short-term support to their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to add more hands-on accounting experience in a collaborative office environment while contributing to an organization that serves the community. What You'll Be Doing Process and enter accounts payable transactions into the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy Assist with recording banking transactions, electronic payments, payroll-related entries, and other financial adjustments Support the preparation and posting of journal entries Review and reconcile employee expense and corporate card submissions Assist with coding and tracking financial transactions, ensuring proper tax treatment and approvals Help maintain petty cash records and supporting documentation Organize and maintain finance records, documentation, and filing systems Identify and communicate any discrepancies or unusual transactions to the finance leadership team Provide general administrative support to the accounting department Contribute to ongoing finance projects and other duties as required What We're Looking For Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related discipline Previous experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, finance administration, accounting support or related Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial information Comfortable working with accounting systems, spreadsheets (Excel), and digital records Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication and organizational skills Schedule & Work Environment Approximately 15 hours per week 2 days per week with flexibility to coordinate a schedule during regular business hours Additional hours may be available based on business needs Fully in-office role in downtown Toronto Conveniently accessible by public transit Why Apply?
