The Site Safety Manager is responsible for leading the health, safety, and compliance strategy across a multi-site organization, ensuring the well-being of employees. Salary Range: $95,000 to $120,000 Start Date: September 2026 Trade the City Grind for the Outdoors You Love Relocation Made Easy to Sault Ste Marie Relocation support available Stable, long-term career opportunities Competitive pay + steady work Key Priorities: This position provides strategic leadership for the organization's safety management system, including ownership of the Certificate of Recognition and supporting the organization to and thru certifications. Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and equivalent legislation in every province operates in, including Alberta's OHS Act. Collaborate with the HR Manager to align safety policy with HR policy, especially around accommodation and disciplinary matters tied to safety Lead regular site audits and inspections across all operating companies, tracking findings through to corrective action. Lead investigations into workplace incidents and near-misses, ensuring root cause is identified and addressed. Manage workplace injury reporting and claims management with WSIB (Ontario), WCB (Alberta), and equivalent bodies in other jurisdictions as company expands. Partner with the HR Manager on accommodations and return-to-work plans, ensuring a coordinated, compliant process Establish and support active Joint Health & Safety Committees at every site, with current records and regular meetings. Design and oversee company-wide safety training and orientation programs. Lead the pre-close safety review for every acquisition, identifying urgent hazards that must be addressed on Day 1. Regular travel to job sites across regions, including outdoor and active work-site conditions. Ability to complete site walkthroughs in varied conditions, including confined spaces, excavation sites, and equipment work areas, with appropriate PPE Hybrid between office-based work and frequent travel to sites across Ontario and Alberta. Flexibility required to respond to incidents or urgent safety matters outside standard hours
