Total rewards: Receive a competitive hourly rate of $36–$40 Access a company-sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out program with flights from Calgary or Edmonton Enjoy full camp accommodations during rotation Work a 7x7 rotation with alternating day/night shifts Gain valuable experience in oil sands earthworks and tailings environments Grow within a supportive culture focused on learning and teamwork Benefit from potential contract extension beyond year end Utilize company-sponsored bussing if relocating to Fort McMurray Responsibilities: Maintain clear communication with Mine Operations, Geotechnical, and Mine Engineering teams Implement IFC drawings, Quality Management Systems, and Safe Operating Procedures Conduct daily visual inspections of borrow sources and mine earth structures Perform in situ soil density testing using a nuclear densometer Document construction activities, observations, and non-conformances Produce and upload daily construction reports into project databases Support safe work practices in high risk off road environments Capture high quality field photos and maintain accurate documentation Requirements: Minimum 1 year of construction quality control experience, preferably in mining or oil sands Technical diploma in Civil, Construction, Geological, or Geomatics Engineering (ASET accreditation eligible) Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with minimal demerits Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 100 m on rough terrain repeatedly Competence operating pickup trucks/4x4 vehicles off road Strong observational, documentation, and communication skills Proficiency in MS Word and Excel Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety protocols with a positive, reliable work attitude

Requirements
Requires a technical diploma in Civil, Construction, Geological, or Geomatics Engineering and at least one year of construction QC experience. Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license and be physically capable of working on rough terrain.
