Total rewards: Earn a competitive hourly contract rate of $75-85/hr based on experience, with flexibility Contribute to a major oil sands expansion project Work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams Support technically challenging and high-impact facilities Gain exposure to slurry, froth treatment, and heavy oil systems Participate in both static and dynamic stress analysis work Work from a Calgary-based engineering office Benefit from a long-term contract with extension potential Responsibilities: Perform piping stress and flexibility analysis for oil sands facilities Develop and maintain piping models using CAESAR II Evaluate piping systems connected to rotating and static equipment Assess thermal expansion, vibration, settlement, and nozzle loads Design and review pipe support systems and support requirements Analyze slurry piping and wear-resistant piping applications Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and recommendations Collaborate with piping, mechanical, process, structural, and project teams Requirements: Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Hold a Professional Engineer designation or be eligible for registration in Alberta Demonstrate 5+ years of piping stress engineering experience Exhibit advanced proficiency with CAESAR II software Bring experience supporting oil sands, upstream, or heavy industrial projects Understand piping systems connected to pumps, compressors, vessels, and heat exchangers Demonstrate knowledge of slurry systems, wear-resistant piping, or CCO piping applications Possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
