Job details
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MACHINE OPERATION * Operate production equipment including filling, packaging, processing, and related manufacturing equipment. * Set up and calibrate equipment according to production requirements. * Monitor machine performance and adjust settings such as speed, pressure, and temperature as required. * Ensure efficient production flow while minimizing downtime. QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY * Inspect products and materials to ensure compliance with quality specifications. * Follow HACCP, GMP, food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance requirements. * Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time. * Report quality concerns and assist in corrective actions. EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE & TROUBLESHOOTING * Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance. * Identify operational issues and troubleshoot equipment problems. * Escalate mechanical concerns when required to minimize production interruptions. HEALTH & SAFETY * Follow all company safety policies and procedures. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Use required personal protective equipment. * Participate in safety meetings and training programs. TEAMWORK & COMMUNICATION * Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, quality assurance, and warehouse teams. * Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, and shift information effectively. * Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant. QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills. * Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues. * Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. * Ability to read and understand production procedures and work instructions. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. EXPERIENCE * Previous experience operating manufacturing or food processing equipment preferred. * Experience in a food production environment is considered an asset. * Forklift certification is an asset. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES * Reliable and dependable. * Strong problem-solving abilities. * Able to work independently and as part of a team. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. * Strong commitment to food safety and workplace safety. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to stand for extended periods. * Ability to lift up to 25 kg. * Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures. * Ability to perform repetitive movements and manual handling tasks.
