For further details, please visit: www.portlandholdings.com Essential Functions: Prepare monthly account reconciliations / analysis in a timely and accurate manner. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules for the year-end audits. Ability to complete full set of financial statements for external auditors’ review would be an asset. Perform daily and weekly accounting functions relating to payments, transfers and any other duties as assigned. Prepare/review monthly bank reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements. Prepare and reconcile HST, sales tax and payroll remittances Participate in team meetings to promote team building, review new policies and procedures and assist in problem identification and resolution. Accountants direct from Big 4, public practice will be considered. Previous experience working with Great Plains Dynamics desired. Canada Tax experience, an asset. While in office is preferred, occasional work from home is permitted.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree or college diploma in accounting is requested, and CPA Ontario qualification or partial qualification will be considered. The role calls for 4–8 years of relevant accounting experience; experience in a conglomerate structure, public practice, Great Plains Dynamics, and Canadian tax is preferred or considered an asset.
