The J. Hansen HVAC Group Inc. is in search of a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated professional with strong mechanical aptitude who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. This role involves performing installation, maintenance, and service work on plumbing systems in commercial and residential environments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and committed to building strong, long-term relationships with customers. Duties and Responsibilities: * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems * Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems * Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors * Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings * Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines * Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions * Perform preventative maintenance and service work as required * Prepare cost estimates as required * Complete service documentation and communicate findings and recommendations professionally to customers * Support 24-hour emergency service on a flexible rotating on-call schedule * Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good working condition * Perform other related duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications: * Service experience in commercial and/or residential environments is an asset * Backflow certification is considered an asset * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Ability to support 24-hour emergency service on a rotating schedule * Ability to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling, and reaching * Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and/or aerial platforms * Must be comfortable working at heights * Valid driver’s license and willingness to provide a driver’s abstract Education & Certifications * Completion of secondary school is required * Red Seal Journeyperson Plumber Certification is required * Gas Fitter Class B License is preferred; willingness to obtain certification is considered an asset. * WHMIS and applicable safety certifications Benefits: * Complete health benefit package * Competitive company RRSP package with option for employee matching * Competitive wages, above industry standard Job Type: Full-Time

Requirements

Requires a Red Seal Journeyperson Plumber Certification and completion of secondary school. A valid driver's license is mandatory, while a Gas Fitter Class B License is preferred.
