Job summary
This role is offered on a hybrid basis - expectation is 4 days onsite, with 1 day at home. The client is looking to hire a mid to senior level embedded systems software engineer to join a growing team who are providing cutting edge tech solutions. Responsibilities: Design, implement and test new firmware features at system level. Optimise system resources, performance and real-time data-processing pipelines. Integrate new image-processing and computer-vision functionality developed by specialist algorithm teams. Develop and maintain embedded applications running on modern SoC platforms. Integrate embedded processing platforms with different host systems and third-party software components. Develop and maintain internal tools and utilities for engineering and customer use. Support hardware/software bring-up, system integration and technical debugging. Requirements: 8+ years of professional embedded software development experience. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Strong C programming and debugging skills within RTOS-based environments. Experience troubleshooting real-time embedded systems, including threading, memory management, optimisation and interrupt handling. Understanding of the full software development lifecycle. Working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Clear verbal and written communication skills.
