About the Engagement On behalf of our client, we’re looking for an experienced iOS Developer to join a collaborative team supporting Canadian mobile banking initiatives. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality iOS applications using modern Swift technologies while working closely with technical experts, project teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors. What You’ll Do: Develop and enhance iOS applications using SwiftUI and UIKit, following established development standards and best practices. Interpret System Requirements Specifications (SRS) and System Design Specifications (SDS) and develop solutions aligned with business requirements, technical standards, and intended design. Apply Swift Concurrency (Async/Await), Combine, and MVVM to build scalable, maintainable, and responsive applications. Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within an Agile development environment. Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, standards compliance, reusability, security, and ease of maintenance. Develop effective and efficient solutions while meeting project milestones, timelines, quality standards, and security requirements. Develop and maintain automated tests using XCTest. Use Xcode Instruments to identify and resolve application performance and memory-related issues. Work with Git and follow collaborative development practices, including collective code ownership and pair programming. Develop accessible applications supporting VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and Dark Mode. Build custom views programmatically and implement Auto Layout for dynamic screen sizes and device configurations. Provide technical support for escalated incidents and outages and work toward timely resolution with minimal stakeholder impact. Contribute to application deployment plans and the overall mobile application rollout strategy. Develop rapid proof-of-concepts to demonstrate innovative concepts and their potential business value. Continuously develop mobile development expertise and stay current with emerging iOS technologies, frameworks, and industry trends. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, effectiveness, application quality, and operational efficiency. Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units. Work effectively across multiple concurrent projects, prioritize workload, and deliver quality results within established timelines. Communicate project status effectively and escalate issues in a timely manner. Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment. What You Bring: University or College degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field. 3–6+ years of experience building iOS applications using SwiftUI and UIKit. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Swift and Objective-C. At least 6 months of experience developing applications with SwiftUI. At least 6 months of experience with Swift Concurrency (Async/Await) and Combine. Strong understanding of multithreaded applications and concurrent programming. Experience with XCTest, Xcode Instruments, and Git. Experience with architecture patterns including MVVM and Protocol-Oriented Programming (POP). Experience with reactive programming using Combine. Experience developing custom views programmatically and implementing Auto Layout for dynamic screen sizes. Experience implementing mobile accessibility features, including VoiceOver and Dynamic Type, as well as Dark Mode. Experience working with iOS frameworks and CocoaPods. Understanding of IT standards, UX design, accessibility, and Agile methodologies. Comfortable working with collective code ownership and pair programming. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, business stakeholders, project teams, and external vendors. Nice to Have: Knowledge of CI/CD tools and scripting, such as Jenkins. Experience with custom view animations and transitions. Experience with Swift Package Manager (SPM).
