Licensed Practical Nurse - Operating Room Technician

Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum of three months experience is required. Post-Grad Perioperative Certification required. Or completion of a CLPNA approved perioperative course. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with orthopedic, urology, gynecological, obstetrical - delivery/c-sections. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods.

Provide safe and compassionate perioperative care to patients before, during, and after surgery within a rural hospital setting. Collaborate with an interprofessional surgical team to deliver evidence-based care following ORNAC and CSA standards.

Requires completion of an accredited LPN program, active registration with CLHA, and BCLS-HCP certification. Candidates must have at least three months of experience and a post-grad perioperative certification or approved course.
