Your Opportunity: The ideal candidate is an experienced and confident CT technologist who can work independently as the sole CT technologist on night shift on a 7-on/7-off rotation. You demonstrate strong judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills and are comfortable managing trauma, acute care patients, competing priorities, and changing clinical demands. You possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals. You are self-directed, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining and advancing your CT knowledge and skills. You must also be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting, carrying, or transferring patients and supplies weighing over 50 lbs. Description: As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment. Classification: Medical Radiation Tech II Union: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Diagnostic Imaging CT Primary Location: Fort Saskatchewan Health Ctr Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.70 Posting End Date: 22-OCT-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 14-DEC-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 7 Shift Pattern: Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $41.95 Maximum Salary: $53.91 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of a diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications: Cross-sectional anatomy courses in progress or completed. Work experience in Computed Tomography emergency, inpatient programs, and outpatient referrals. IV Certification. Minimum 3 years’ experience in an acute care setting and/or trauma center. Preferred Qualifications: Computed Tomography Imaging Certificate (CTIC).

Requirements
Requires an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist diploma, active or eligible Alberta registration, and current BCLS-HCP certification. Applicants must have IV certification, completed or in-progress cross-sectional anatomy coursework, relevant CT experience, and at least three years of acute care or trauma-center experience; a CT Imaging Certificate is preferred.
