Your Opportunity: This position works within the allied health and larger home care team to provide physiotherapy services to home care clients with the Vermilion area. As this is a home care position, this does require the successful applicant to have a valid driver's license and operating vehicle as they will be required to travel to clients' homes in the surrounding areas. Requires current/up to date BLS certification. This position may qualify for a Recruitment Incentive of up to 13 thousand over 12 months. For full details visit rcif-hsaa.ca Description: As a Physiotherapist II, you will provide coordination of physiotherapy and other allied health clinical services. You will provide supervision of students and team members as assigned. You will work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team providing leadership to other healthcare professionals. You will be making day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge and follow-up. You will make decisions and advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area to ensure safe, efficient and effective client care. You will ensure physiotherapy practice is evidence based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics and AHS policy and guidelines. You will be coordinating the day-to-day operations of an assigned service area and monitoring care delivery, identifying service needs and assisting other medical staff with caseload management, completing chart audits and providing follow-up and feedback to staff. You will participate in program development and operational planning and representing the department on committees or programs. You will make decisions on staffing level requirements, workflow, caseload priorities in collaboration with managers and other healthcare providers. AHS is dedicated to supporting our Physiotherapists in their practice area and expanding their skillsets regardless of location. All AHS Physiotherapists have access to a list of experienced clinicians across the province and are able to tap into this resource via email, phone and virtual meetings. As we transition to our Provincial Electronic Medical Record (Connect Care) you will also be able to share patient information real time with these senior clinicians to assist you in providing high quality care. Requirements

Requires a master's degree in physiotherapy, or a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy with related experience, and active or eligible registration and a practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, access to an operating vehicle, and current Basic Life Support certification.
