Job summary
We are seeking an experienced NDT Level III Engineer with a strong background in the marine and offshore industry, specifically with classification requirements and hands-on familiarity with the DNV-PEGASUS digital inspection platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical authority, procedure development, validation of NDT results, oversight of Level I & II technicians, and direct liaison with Class surveyors and clients. Key Responsibilities Qualifications & Experience Valid NDT Level III certification (ISO 9712 or ASNT) Minimum 3–5 years' experience in the marine/offshore industry Proven experience working with classification surveys Demonstrated working knowledge of the DNV-PEGASUS inspection platform Strong understanding of: -Ship structures -Ballast and seawater systems -Corrosion mechanisms -Marine welding standards -Ability to work onboard vessels and in confined spaces Technical & Inspection Responsibilities Act as the Level III technical authority for all NDT activities in accordance with: -ISO 9712 / ASNT -Class Rules & Standards -Applicable class and client specifications -Develop, prepare, approve, and validate NDT procedures, inspection plans, and methodologies, including: -Ultrasonic Testing (UT / UTM) -Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) -Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) -Radiographic Testing (RT) -Create and maintain class-approved documents, including: NDT procedures Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) Method Statements Class submission packages Review, interpret, and certify inspection results related to: Hull and ship structural components Ballast tanks and internal compartments Pipelines and pressure systems Welds and structural members Ensure inspection activities comply with classification society survey requirements. Supervision & Quality Control Supervise and technically support NDT Level I and Level II technicians. Conduct on-site and remote performance verification of NDT personnel. Review and sign off: Inspection reports Thickness measurement reports Non-conformance reports (NCRs) Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and traceability.
