Job summary

We have an opening for a newbie to train to make drinks and provide assistance to the servers in a restaurant setting. No prior experience required, but you must be 18 or older. Part time evening shifts start at 5 pm weekdays to 8 or 10 pm and weekends from 4 pm to 9 or 11 pm; two to four shifts per week depending on your availability and the number of events/bookings in any given week. The ideal candidate is a bright, personable, reliable and hard-working individual, looking to gain experience in working in a restaurant and able to fit evening shifts around school schedule. Prior customer service experience (eg. retail, fast food, gas bar) would be an asset but not required. Please note this is an entry level position - pay is minimum wage plus share of tip-out from servers after the first few training shifts - there are no tips directly from customers. We provide on-the-job training and opportunity to gain experience; however, we do not have full bartender positions to move into once trained, so this position is not suitable for experienced bartenders. Proserve certification is not required in order to be hired, but must be obtained within 30 days of your first shift. We are located one block west of the Stampede Victoria Park C-train station. If interested, please apply by replying to this ad. Please state what shifts you would be available for, and attach your resume. If you are using the app and cannot attach a resume please say so in your reply and we will reply with the email address to send it to. Replies without this information will be ignored.
