Job Title Various Elementary Teacher, Contract Job Posting Number External OECTA#2627-066 Eligibility This posting is only open to Occasional Teachers currently employed by the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and External Applicants. Salary Range The salary of a teacher shall be determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement according to QECO rating and years of experience. Effective September 1, 2025 teacher salaries will range from $56,288.00 to $119,949.00 (based on a 1.0FTE) Closing Date September 22, 2026 at 4pm Assignment St. Carthagh Catholic School 0.23FTE Itinerant Arts Teacher Commencing date to be determined Qualifications Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate Qualifications and Drama, or Music or Arts Qualifications Oral and written English language proficiency is required Application And Requirements An application package will include the following documents for: Copy of current OCT Certificate of Qualifications Cover Letter with Resume Submission of Roman Catholic Pastoral Reference (current within 1 year) OR a Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate and a Personal Letter of Faith Two professional letters of reference Recent graduates – include University transcripts & Practice teaching reports (copies only) As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must provide a Criminal Background Check (CBC) with vulnerable sector screening current within six months of date of hire. NOTES: This position open to Occasional Teachers currently employed by Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board who have completed a minimum of one (1) LTO assignment that was a minimum of four (4) months in duration, and whose last evaluation resulted in a satisfactory rating. In addition to the applicants from the school board's occasional teacher roster, a school board may choose, as one of the applicants to be interviewed, a teacher employed as a permanent teacher elsewhere in the province who has applied to the posting.
