Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training) About The Role We partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI systems — and we need cloud security practitioners who know how cloud environments actually fail. This is a unique opportunity to apply your hands-on cloud security experience to frontier AI development. You'll analyze real-world scenarios, validate AI reasoning, and directly influence how the next generation of AI understands cloud infrastructure and security risk. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, misconfigurations, and failure patterns Review and evaluate IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues based on real-world impact Classify security gaps and cloud-related failures using your practitioner knowledge Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning to ensure it accurately reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold Help shape datasets and evaluations that make AI smarter about cloud infrastructure security Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security concepts Familiarity with real-world misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and security incidents Able to reason clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact Self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working asynchronously Nice to Have Experience with cloud security tooling (e.g., AWS Security Hub, GCP Security Command Center, Defender for Cloud) Background in incident response, penetration testing, or cloud architecture Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2, CIS Benchmarks, or NIST Prior experience with AI evaluation or data annotation workflows Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems with top research labs Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration Put your real-world cloud security expertise to work in a high-impact, meaningful way Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
