Data Science Expert – AI Content Specialist About The Role What if your deep knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and data engineering could directly shape the next generation of AI? We're looking for Data Science Experts to stress-test and improve advanced AI models — designing hard problems, writing gold-standard solutions, and catching the reasoning errors that make AI unreliable. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working data scientists, researchers, and advanced students who want meaningful, intellectually engaging work on their own schedule. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced data science scenarios across domains like hyperparameter optimization, Bayesian inference, cross-validation strategies, dimensionality reduction, and more Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Build rigorous, step-by-step reference solutions including Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and mathematical derivations that set the standard for correct AI responses Audit AI-Generated Code — Evaluate model outputs using libraries like Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow for technical accuracy, efficiency, and correctness Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical flaws such as data leakage, overfitting, or improper handling of imbalanced datasets, and provide structured feedback that improves how models think Who You Are Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field Strong foundational knowledge in supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, big data technologies (Spark/Hadoop), or NLP Able to communicate complex algorithmic and statistical concepts clearly in written form Precise and detail-oriented when reviewing code syntax, mathematical notation, and statistical conclusions No prior AI or data annotation experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or model evaluation workflows Familiarity with production-level data science practices such as MLOps or CI/CD for models Why Join Us Work directly with industry-leading large language models on technically stimulating challenges Fully remote and asynchronous — work when it suits you, from anywhere Freelance autonomy with consistent, task-based structure Collaborate with top AI research labs on problems that actually matter Potential for ongoing contract work and project renewals as new models launch
