Job details
Electrical Engineering Expert — AI Training About The Role What if your engineering knowledge could shape the future of AI? We're partnering with leading AI research labs to train cutting-edge language models — and we need electrical engineers who can challenge, stress-test, and sharpen how AI thinks about complex technical problems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your domain expertise directly influences how the next generation of AI understands circuit design, power systems, signal processing, and more. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, signal processing, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC) Improve AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps and reasoning errors in AI outputs, then provide structured feedback that helps models think more like expert engineers Who You Are Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or embedded systems Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing Precise and detail-oriented when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation No prior AI or data annotation experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, technical content creation, or quality evaluation Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.) Background in robotics, RF engineering, or engineering standards compliance Why Join Us Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs Fully remote and flexible — set your own schedule, work from anywhere Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration Gain firsthand exposure to how large language models are trained and evaluated Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
