Identity & Access Management (IAM) Analyst (AI Training) About The Role Identity is at the heart of modern security failures — and we're looking for people who truly understand how and why. As an IAM Analyst, your real-world expertise will directly shape how AI reasons about identity risk, access control failures, and enterprise security vulnerabilities. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. Work on your own schedule, contribute at your own pace, and make a measurable impact on the future of AI security reasoning. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze IAM, SSO, and access control scenarios to identify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and risk patterns Classify permission issues, privilege escalation paths, and identity-related failure modes Review zero-trust models and evaluate access design decisions for correctness and security posture Generate and validate realistic identity security scenarios used to train and evaluate frontier AI systems Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI learn how IAM risk actually emerges and propagates in real environments Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience with IAM, SSO, or enterprise identity platforms Solid understanding of RBAC, least-privilege principles, and access review processes Familiar with how identity failures occur and how attackers exploit them Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think like both a defender and an attacker Clear written communication skills — you can explain complex security concepts precisely Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments Nice to Have Experience with platforms such as Okta, Azure AD, AWS IAM, or SailPoint Familiarity with identity governance and privileged access management (PAM) Background in cloud security, penetration testing, or security architecture Prior experience contributing to AI training, red teaming, or security research Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs Fully remote and asynchronous — work when and where you want Freelance perks: autonomy, flexibility, and global collaboration Contribute to meaningful work at the intersection of cybersecurity and AI Potential for ongoing work and contract extension

What you’ll do

Requirements

Applicants need at least two years of hands-on experience with IAM, SSO, or enterprise identity platforms, along with knowledge of RBAC, least privilege, access reviews, and identity-related attack patterns. Strong analytical and written communication skills, plus the ability to work independently, are required.
