Job Overview The Manager, Clinical Data Management is a key people and operational leadership role within our Data Sciences Department, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-quality data management services across clinical studies. This position leads and develops Data Management professionals while overseeing project delivery, resource planning, financial performance, process improvement, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with internal teams, sponsors, and external partners, the Manager will help drive operational excellence and ensure Data Management services are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget. Key Responsabilities * Lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of Data Management activities, ensuring project deliverables meet quality, timeline, budget, and regulatory requirements. * Manage, mentor, and develop Data Management staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, objective setting, and career development. * Plan and manage resources across current and future projects, balancing operational requirements, staff utilization, and project priorities. * Drive operational excellence by developing, reviewing, and implementing Data Management procedures, processes, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. * Serve as a Data Management subject matter expert, providing guidance on data collection strategies, database design, data handling, and regulatory submission requirements. * Proactively identify and manage project risks, operational challenges, and resourcing issues, escalating and implementing appropriate solutions when required. * Partner with cross-functional teams, sponsors, and external stakeholders to optimize Data Management technologies, processes, and standards. * Manage financial aspects of assigned projects and programs, including budgets, forecasting, Work Orders, Change Orders, and project pricing. * Support the evaluation and selection of Data Management systems and vendors, including EDC, IRT, ePRO, and eConsent solutions. * Contribute to business development activities, including RFIs, RFPs, project pricing, sponsor meetings, and other client-facing discussions. Skills & Qualifications * College diploma or university degree in a relevant discipline, with approximately 7–9 years of relevant Clinical Data Management experience. * Demonstrated experience leading, managing, mentoring, and developing Data Management professionals. * Strong knowledge of clinical Data Management processes, standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. * Experience overseeing Data Management activities across the clinical study lifecycle, from study start-up through database lock and regulatory submission. * Strong understanding of clinical data systems and technologies, including EDC and related platforms such as IRT, ePRO, and eConsent. * Proven ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, resources, timelines, risks, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment. * Experience with project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, Work Orders, Change Orders, and resource planning. * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sponsors, vendors, and cross-functional teams. * Demonstrated problem-solving and continuous improvement skills, with experience identifying operational gaps and implementing effective solutions. * CCDM certification is considered an asset. \n What We Offer In addition, as an Alimentiv Employee, you’re also eligible for the following programs: * Education Reimbursement program for full-time employees * Monthly Cell Phone and Remote Work Allowance (dependent on role eligibility) * One time office setup allowance (can be used to purchase a scanner/printer, extra monitor, office furniture, etc.) * Working while visiting program – up to 4 weeks per year! * Flexible Summer Hours Program from May – September * Employee referral incentive – we know great people know other great people, and we think that warrants recognition! * Full-time employees also become beneficiaries of the Alimentiv Trust after one year of employment, and permanent members after 5 years of employment * Optional formal mentorship program (Alimentorship); country/region annual social events in person; leadership development programs for people leaders in accordance with your seniority; social committee and several other optional initiatives designed to support you in feeling like part of the Alimentiv team!
