Position Summary The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a critical role in the corporate finance function leading full-cycle accounting activities, revenue accounting, foreign exchange accounting, complex accounting transactions, and monthly reporting activities. This position will oversee offshore accounting resources and support consolidated IFRS reporting, continuous process improvement, and compliance across the organization. Job Responsibilities Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close process including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and variance analysis. Own full-cycle accounting for assigned corporate entities and mining operations. Manage accounting for revenue streams, provisional pricing settlements, and related reconciliations. Support the assessment complex accounting matters including foreign exchange, AROs, acquisitions, financing transactions, share-based compensation and impairment indicators. Support preparation of consolidated IFRS financial information and external reporting requirements. Oversee offshore accounting team deliverables, establish service standards and provide mentoring and development. Coordinate with Treasury, Tax, Operations and FP&A on key accounting matters. Support with audit requests and maintain strong relationships with external and internal auditors. Maintain strong internal controls, policies and procedures in a public-company environment. Job Requirements This position requires a minimum education of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or accounting with a CPA, CGA, CA or equivalent professional designation, or in the process of obtaining the designation. This position requires a minimum of five (5) years experience in progressive accounting, including public-company experience. Strong understanding of IFRS and multinational consolidations. Experience in mining, natural resources or other complex global organizations is preferred. Demonstrated experience supervising offshore or shared-service teams. Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Oracle. Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is a strong asset. Compensation & Total Rewards The base salary hiring range for this role is CAD $85,000 to CAD $100,000 plus a target company and individual performance based short term and long term incentive bonus, group benefit coverage and a retirement savings plan. The hiring range reflects our targeted compensation framework for the role. The final offer is determined through an evaluation of the candidate’s experience, capabilities, and potential impact, along with consideration of internal equity and benchmark market data for similar positions.
