Allied Universal is currently seeking Bilingual Aviation Security Guards to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. Position Details Position: Aviation Security Guard Location: Ottawa, ON Employment Type: Part-Time and Casual guards ! Pay Rate: $19.94/hour Schedule: All shifts available, including weekends and holidays Shift Times 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM Key Responsibilities Monitor vehicle traffic, equipment movement, and ensure compliance with airport regulations. Conduct regular patrols and monitor restricted and controlled areas. Verify airport restricted area passes using mobile access control technology. Enforce airport security procedures and applicable regulations. Monitor and report safety concerns, including wildlife activity, fuel spills, smoking violations, and waste management issues. Inspect security systems, including doors, cameras, and access points. Assist with crowd control and maintain public safety within passenger areas. Support emergency response teams and escort emergency vehicles when required. Conduct vehicle inspections, issue reports, and complete required documentation. Assist with explosive trace detection equipment as required. Escort unauthorized personnel from restricted areas. Perform other security-related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable employment history. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Must be at least 18 years of age. Fully bilingual in French and English (French considered the first language). Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC). Valid First Aid and CPR certification. Strong customer service and communication skills. Intermediate computer skills and ability to use site-specific security technology. Ability to remain calm and professional during emergency or high-pressure situations. Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and occasionally lift/carry up to 20 kg. Must be available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
