Job Description Allied Universal – Security Professional – Officer in Toronto, Ontario Job Title: Security Professional Location: Toronto, ON Type: Full-time Pay Rate: $18.65 per hour Shifts: | Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays| Swing/Rotational | Sun (7am-7pm), Mon (3-11pm), Thu(11pm-7am), Fri(11pm -11am) Overview: We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Professional to support security operations within a residential site in Toronto, ON. This role serves as a first line of defense, providing a visible presence to deter crime, protect property, and ensure the safety of residents, visitors, and assets. Security Guards in this position require experience in mobile residential security and will be responsible for monitoring access points, responding to emergencies, and delivering exceptional community-focused security services across the residential site. Responsibilities: Site Surveillance & Patrol: Conduct high-visibility, routine, and randomized patrols to deter theft, vandalism, car break-ins, loitering, and other unauthorized activities and Perform perimeter and area checks, including doors, windows, gates, and common amenity areas, ensuring all areas remain secure. Access Control: Monitor and control access points by screening residents, visitors, delivery personnel, and contractors. Log visitor activity and enforce site access protocols to prevent unauthorized entry and manage front desk operations and monitor CCTV systems when required. Emergency Response: Respond immediately and appropriately to alarms, security breaches, fires, medical emergencies, and other incidents. Assist residents and coordinate with emergency services when required. Incident Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed incident and occurrence reports for management and law enforcement when required and maintain accurate daily activity logs documenting patrols, observations, and actions taken while providing clear handover notes to ensure continuity between shifts. Community Support & Liaison: Act as a liaison between residents, property management, and local authorities during incidents or investigations and maintain a professional, customer-service-oriented approach to enhance resident confidence and safety. Requirements: Must have minimum of 6 months of Residential Security experience. Proficiency in basic computer skills and wireless technology. Excellent written and oral communication Must have a valid Ontario Security License. Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week. First Aid and CPR High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, occasionally climb stairs, and lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
