Job summary
Vice President, Legal 5-7 Years, Corporate & Securities Downtown Toronto Office (not hybrid) ALT has partnered with a leading investor, developer, and asset manager operating across North America to hire an in-house lawyer with between 5-7 years of relevant corporate and securities experience. As a trusted advisor, you will oversee corporate governance and board matters for all of the company’s funds. You will play a key role in fund formation matters, with a focus on private funds, including real estate and private equity funds. In addition, this role will work with external counsel on acquisitions, dispositions, financing and refinancing transactions and will support the investments teams in reviewing, commenting on, and drafting a wide range of agreements. To apply, you must be a corporate and securities lawyer with at least 5 years of experience gained through working with a major law firm or well-regarded corporation. You must have experience in corporate compliance and strong corporate/commercial and transactional experience. Also important for this role is experience integrating AI into your day-to-day legal work.
