Responsibilities: As part of our Maintenance team, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant equipment reliability and performance including: Performing preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on industrial equipment including pumps, conveyors, motors, seals, and rotating equipment Troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Diagnosing equipment issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives Reading and interpreting drawings and plans to complete repairs efficiently and safely Assembling, fitting, aligning, and adjusting machinery and equipment Responding to breakdowns and minimizing operational downtime Working collaboratively with operations, engineers, electricians, welders, and other trades Maintaining accurate maintenance records within the CMMS system Supporting a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment Qualifications & Skills: Journeyperson Millwright Certification (Alberta) and/or Red Seal Certification OR Registered 4th Year Millwright Apprentice (Alberta Apprenticeship Program) Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, mining, or heavy equipment environment considered an asset Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Commitment to safety and safe work practices Positive attitude with a strong work ethic Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment Basic computer skills What We Offer: Full-time, permanent employment with long-term career stability Competitive compensation: Journeypersons: $46.195/hour plus shift premiums 4th Year Apprentices: 90% of the applicable apprenticeship rate Excellent overtime opportunities, paid at 1.5x for the first overtime hour worked in a week and 2.0x for all subsequent overtime hours, provided a minimum of five (5) overtime hours are worked Outstanding employer-paid benefits and pension plan All PPE provided, including coveralls and safety boots Work alongside a highly skilled maintenance team in a challenging and rewarding steel manufacturing environment A strong safety culture that values teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, offering extended time off between rotations Pre-employment requirements: Zero-tolerance drug and alcohol test Criminal background check Build your career with a company that values skilled tradespeople, invests in its employees, and provides opportunities for long-term growth and development.
